Provide us with some information about your history and your background with Fort Smith.
In my time in Fort Smith I have been able to help create, own, and co-manage a commercial construction company, Petree Construction. I’ve also been fortunate to give back to the community by donating my time and experience to several boards and organizations. I spent 7 years on the Fort Smith Planning and Zoning Board, successfully completing multiple terms; served a couple of years on the Future Board of Fort Smith; and currently sit on the Board for the Peacemaker Music Festival, a nonprofit organization here in Fort Smith that gives back to local children’s organizations. My experience managing a commercial construction company here in Fort Smith gives me a unique advantage in reviewing budgets, the bidding phase, construction costs, schedules, and cost changes throughout the entire process. This experience is what I’m offering to help mitigate and minimize the growing infrastructure needs and associated costs that Fort Smith now faces. My primary focus will be to stop the already rising cost of living in our community
What made you want to run?
After hearing the great infrastructure demands our city is facing, I felt obligated to offer my experience to help the city minimize the cost to keep our cost of living low
What pressing needs do you see in Fort Smith?
The Growing Infrastructure Debt of water and sewer projects the city is facing. Topic of Changing of the city government from an Administrator ran form to a mayor ran Form of government. Retaining our skilled workforce to stay in Fort Smith
If you were to get elected, how would you meet these needs that you see?
By performing the same duties that I do everyday for my own businesses but now for the betterment of the City
General elections for Mayor and Board of Directors will happen on November 3rd. If you are a resident in the Fort Smith area, go out and vote.
