An investigative summary released on December 14th detailed the misconduct of five FBI officials while working for the bureau overseas. The misconduct includes: drug trafficking, and failure to report unofficial contacts with foreign nationals.

The investigation was prompted after the Department of Justice office of the Inspector General received information from the FBI about the officials engaging in commercial sex. Further allegations were submitted that one official provided another with a package containing 100 white pills meant to be delivered to a foreign law enforcement officer.

Of the five officials investigated, two have resigned, two retired, one was removed. All of their departures occurred while the investigation was ongoing.

The investigation has concluded, and we await comment or action from the FBI.
