University of Arkansas- Fort Smith has the great privilege of hosting the Small Works on Paper traveling Art Exhibition as it makes its last stop. The exhibition consists of up to forty pieces by small artists in the state.

The art has been featured in the South Arkansas Arts Center, Lyon College, Delta Cultural Center, and several other universities along the state. The exhibition is a competition open to all visual artists and is sponsored by the Arkansas Arts Council.

The Arkansas Arts Council has the mission of “ advancing and empowering the arts for the benefit of all Arkansas.” It does so by providing services and funding for programming that assists performing and visiting artists and art organizations.

Visiting this exhibit is a great opportunity to support local art and artists, as many of the pieces are on sale to the public. Below will be examples of the unique and talented artists portraying livelihood and other relevant messages through photography and other mediums of art. Take the chance and stop by! You may see something you love!
