On September 12, 2023, Apple announced its new series of iPhones, namely, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro. Making it the 42nd iPhone to be released since it was first launched in 2003.
The new series of iPhones are now available to purchase at the same price point of the iPhone 14 and the 14 Pro. Prices for the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro range from $799 to $1199. Just like the 14 and the 14 pro, the new iPhone will still have the same screen size of 6.1 and 6.7 for the 15 and 15 Pro, respectively.
There are some similarities with both series, but the specifications for the new iPhones surpass its predecessors. Both the 15 and 15 Pro have Apple's new Pro Max Super Retina XDR Retina display, as well as, new processor chips. The new iPhone now has a battery life of 18 hours for the 6.1 inch, and an even longer battery life with the 6.7 inch displays.
Yes, the rumors are true Apple is getting rid of the lighting charging port and switching it out for the universal USB-C ports. This is part of their goal to make the entire company carbon neutral by the year 2030. They are making that transition with the new iPhone releases, and other Apple production, as well as, by using recycled material to produce products.
It is also worth mentioning that there is a new feature that came to the new series of iPhones. With the switch to the USB-C charging port, Apple announced that this will also be on the second-generation air pod pros, and with the universal ports it will allow you to charge the battery on AirPods and iPhone 15’s from another iPhone 15.
