Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Free Agent Market

On November 22, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United mutually agreed to part ways.

The 37 year old football, or soccer, player has been a member of Manchester United for the past two years. This was his second stint with the team, having risen to prominence in his senior career in the mid-2000’s as a member of the team before joining Real Madrid.

This split comes in the wake of an interview with Piers Morgan, on Piers Morgan Uncensored, in which the footballer stated that he felt “betrayed” by Manchester United. It was by all accounts an amicable break-up and Ronaldo is immediately able to sign with any team that he would like to sign with.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous athletes in the world and his separation from Manchester United has shook the world of sports. Though likely past his prime, Ronaldo is still a big ticket and should generate plenty of buzz entering the free agent market.

The latest reports from ESPN indicate interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal in the 10 time Footballer of the Year award winner. Only time will tell where the football star will lace-up his cleats next.
