AMC has come forth with a press release discussing their new seat pricing model, Sightline at AMC. Seats will be priced based on the sightline of the movie screen within the auditorium.

The seating will be broken down in three sections; Value Sightline, Standard Sightline, and Preferred Sightline sections.

The Value Sightline will mostly be the front row seats within the theater and these will be priced at a lower value. Standard Sightline will be the most common seats and will remain at the normal pricing of a ticket. Preferred Sightline will be the seats in the middle of the auditorium and will be priced at a higher value.

However, those who are members of the AMC Stubs A-List will be able to get tickets in the Preferred Sightline Section. At the same price as Standard Sightline seats.

Eliot Hamlisch, EVP and CMO for AMC Theatres said, “Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC’s seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues, offering experienced-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies”.

This new strategy will begin at select AMC theaters and will be expanded to every domestic AMC theater by the end of 2023.
