UAFS Writing Center is known for hosting many fun workshops to help students with their papers as midterms or finals come around. There have been all kinds of themed workshops from pajama-themed to the famous Long Night Against Procrastination theme. This year is no different as they host their Cozy Flannel Workshop.
The workshop will be hosted on Wednesday, October 9th from 6-10 PM. There will be snacks available and everyone is welcome without having to make an official appointment with a tutor. Students aren't even required to be tutored, they can simply come and work on their papers in a calming environment. Students are encouraged, but not required, to wear some type of flannel when attending the event.
It has not yet been announced which tutors will be available to work the event, but it is assured that every tutor is more than capable of helping any student's paper become exemplary. The Writing Center will also still be open for regular hours before the workshop for anyone who cannot make it to the event but still needs help with their papers. Anybody who does need help outside of the workshop is encouraged to make an appointment, though it still isn't mandatory.
Any student who has been to a past workshop should be just as excited for this new one to come around. The Writing Center's planning committee has been hard at work to make sure that this workshop goes smoothly for all students. The workshops have been a long-time key to students passing their midterm and final exam papers. With the tutors already preparing to help with the workshop, it is safe to say that it is on its way to becoming another success. If you need help on a paper, know someone who needs help, or just feel like coming to a workshop to check it out, come join the UAFS Writing Center Cozy Flannel Workshop!
