Holly Jolly Krampus
Everyone knows about Santa, but have you heard of his companion, Krampus? This frightening figure is often paired with Saint Nick and is believed to have originated in Germany. In Norse Pagan lore, he is rumored to be the son of Hel, the Norse god of the underworld. Krampus is said to appear on the night of December 5th, Krampusnacht , and search for all the naughty children to bestow their deserved punishment or steal them in the night. Netflix's ‘Scrooge: A Christmas Carol’ review
On December 2, Netflix released “Scrooge: A Christmas Carol,” an animated musical adaptation of Charles Dickens's classic holiday tale. Whimsical and vibrant, this rendition of “A Christmas Carol” is based on the 1970 live-action musical “Scrooge” and includes songs from the late Oscar-winning composer Leslie Bricusse. This film features Welsh actor Luke Evans voicing Scrooge, Oscar-winner Olivia Colman as the first Ghost of Christmas Past and Jonathan Pryce as Jacob Marley.

Fort Smith ice skating rink open for the holiday season
Fort Smith's synthetic ice skating rink is open through New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2023. The synthetic ice skating rink is located downtown in Cisterna Park at 1001 Garrison Ave.; tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults for one hour of skating.
