Fort Smith ice skating rink open for the holiday season

Fort Smith's synthetic ice skating rink is open through New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2023.


The synthetic ice skating rink is located downtown in Cisterna Park at 1001 Garrison Ave.; tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults for one hour of skating.


According to their website, Fort Smith Ice Skating, the ice skating rink's hours are:


Dec. 3-18

- Thurs: 4-7 p.m.

- Fri.: 4-7 p.m.

- Sat.: 1-8 p.m.

- Sun.: 2.-5 p.m


Dec. 19-25

- Thurs.-Fri.: 1-8 p.m.

- Sat.: 1-4 p.m.

- Sun.: Closed


Dec. 26-Jan 1

- Tues.: 1-8 p.m.

- Wed.: 1-8 p.m.

- Thurs.-Fri.: 1-8 p.m.

- Sat.: 1-8 p.m.

- Sun.: 2-5 p.m.


The Community Rescue Mission provides the ice skating rink, and their website shares information about the organization, "Community Rescue Mission is a faith-based, Christian organization and empowers the lives of families and children in crisis due to homelessness."


Ticket proceeds go to support the cause.
